I came to Manchester in 2012 and I was completely lost in this bright and fascinating city!
2012 – Went to Unite Students Accommodations
I remember me walking all the way up to Piccadilly, with 5 bags each time, trying to buy all the necessary things I could.
2013 – Moved in a property with a friend, had to pack my staff from accommodation store and then take them back home and start setting it again, IKEA day, cleaning bedsheets and cleaning the dirty flat was something I cannot forget!
We finally got kicked out!
2014 – New flat in the same building by Landlord. As we got blacklisted, the landlord found that out later on and asked us to vacate the property! We finally got into some kind of agreement and kept the space with some restrictions
2015 – Move out to Spain for few month and again, had to pack all my personal belongings, send them to Spain and set my space there until I return to UK
2015 – Returned from Spain, having with me several bags and storage boxes with me, I manage to find a spare room, this time as a lodger!
I moved to several places as a student, from accommodations, renting with agent, Landlords facing penalties and experiencing luck of human services, I came up with a service I wish I have when I move here.
I met a lot of people and connected with them, helped them find a place to call home and make them feel welcomed, showed them the city and shared my experiences.
